Zoe-perry
Perry was born the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago, Illinois to Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first appearance was in television shows in the role of Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in the ABC sitcom Roseanne. Perry did not decide to explore acting as a profession until after she had reached adulthood, as her parents were afraid of the negative impact stress might have. Perry confessed that she wasn't comfortable acting in high school. However, she began performing as a means to connect with new people in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry moved into New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought the actress back to California which is where she discovered theater jobs. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom on Broadway in 2013 She performed with their father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in 9 episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. Her father portrayed her in the ABC Drama Scandal. In addition, she played her younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was which is a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role despite having a close familial connection to the character.
